ELIZABETH JACKSON: Every year millions of tourists visit the Great
Barrier Reef, but numbers are significantly down;

The Queensland Tourism Industry Council says new investment in tourist
infrastructure  is needed to boost the industry and allow the sector
to remain globally competitive.

MARIA HATZAKIS: The Great Barrier Reef is one of the natural wonders
of the world, but for the Queensland Tourism Industry it’s also an
amazing money maker.

Daniel Gschwind from the Queensland Tourism Industry Council says
tourism around the reef generates about $5 billion a year.

DANIEL GSCHWIND: We have about 50,000 jobs in Queensland alone , that
can be attributed to the activities that are associated with the reef
and by comparison that’s about the same number of people working in
the mining or resources sector of Queensland.

So we should not underestimate how worthwhile this asset is and we
don’t even need to dig it up.

MARIA HATZAKIS: But visitor numbers this year have dropped by 10 per
cent again this year and people are looking at how to get them back.

T here’s been a lack of substantial new investment in tourism
infrastructure and the industry hasn’t been keeping up with
international competitors.Many Asian countries are seeing visitor
numbers INCREASE , the racist whites are driving away most non white
tourists and traditional white tourists have no spare cash even if
they do visit , its backpackers on working holidays saving up to visit
ASIA for a REAL holiday

DANIEL GSCHWIND: We certainly can’t stand still. I mean we know that
the global competition is fierce. We have seen massive investments in
our near neighbours in Asia and the Pacific and further afield and we
have to remain competitive in this tough market.

MARIA HATZAKIS: But creating new tourism ventures around the reef
isn’t easy. Great Keppel Island is a tiny island the southern part of
the Great Barrier Reef off central Queensland; it’s home to a few
dozen people.

Its major resort was closed in March last year because it was tired,
rundown and wasn’t bringing in enough tourists.

Great Keppel Island businessman Gerry Christie says local traders have
been struggling.

GERRY CHRISTIE: Initially after the resort closed the numbers were
decimated; most people thought the island was closed.

So going through the first winter it was pretty lonely over here,
there was a handful of people here at the most, some days there was
nobody. Most people probably were running at a loss.

For those of you who haven’t heard about it, "hackers" recently "broke into"
a computer server at the University of East Anglia in the UK. There, the
hackers made off with a large number of emails and documents which had been
exchanged between UK and US Climate Change scientists.

Uncovered was a intricate conspiracy aimed at manipulating climate data to
show that Global Warming was occurring, when in fact, it was not. Scientists
exchanged ideas on how to fudge and manipulate data sets and combine them
with known information in order to alter trends.

Apparently the WWF (World Wildlife Fund) in Australia didn’t believe that
Global Warming was occurring quickly enough, so they asked that data be

In recent years more than $4 billion (a conservative figure) has been spent
on Global Warming research, and to try and find methods to combat it. It
looks as though the money was spent merely to frighten the people of the

by the same governments, being paid to come up with results which suited
their sponsors (the "gravy train" as the scientists call it). Your tax

These emails not only uncover evidence of a conspiracy to lie to the public,

the information was stolen by "hackers", but it’s beginning to look more
like the information came from a source working within the university
itself.

It will be interesting to see which way the media goes with this story. Will
a global warming conspiracy sell more news than global warming stories
would? That will be the main focus of their attention, of course, facts are
irrelevant.

individuals with an agenda have manipulated data, the media and politicians
to scare the world into believing that global warming is real and is our
fault.

As I said earlier, this entire rubbish smacks of being created by the Jew
